			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The SITARI, a unique, one-of-a-kind instrument combining elements of sitar, guitar and some of the fretless instruments of the East. Ari Lehtela has taken the &#8216;hybrid&#8217; concept to the next level with an entire family of new hybrid instruments. The family consists of five instruments that combine elements of string instruments of the East and the West. These instruments should be of particular interest to guitarists as they are ergonomically designed to be played in a conventional guitar position (sitting or standing).</p>

<p>Dante Rosati-Dante is a New York City based guitarist and instructor with a very informative site with some articles on Harmonic Theory, his guitars, and some great music.</p>
<p>Paul Rubenstein-Paul&#8217;s been playing microtonal guitar since 1992, when he first made an electric guitar with movable frets. Since then, he&#8217;s made a number of guitars with different equal tempered scales: 10 tone equal temperament (tet), 13 tet, 14 tet and 15 tet.</p>
<p>John Schneider-John is another one of the early innovators of microtonal guitar. His recordings done on the &#8220;interchangeable&#8221; fingerboards, and his early 90&#8217;s article on Just Intonation and Guitar in Accoustic Guitar magazine were my introductions to this topic.</p>
